When to Visit Island Peak
Spring( March-May) and Autumn (September-November) are the best seasons for the Island Peak Climbing. You can trek in other seasons with the help of professionals. But if you wish for a comfortable trek, we recommend a seasonal trek.
Spring Season ( March-May)
Spring is the perfect season for peak climbing. The weather is very stable and trekking-friendly during the spring season. This is the busiest season, as all the trekkers and climbers want to experience the comfortable weather.
The weather is very dry and bright, with clear visibility. The warm and bearable temperature makes the trek very cozy and comfortable. Long days with a maximum of 9 hours of sunshine give trekkers more time to explore the place. This is called the blooming season so that you can cherish the beautiful blooming flowers on the journey.
Autumn Season (September-November)
Autumn is also the best time for trekking. The ideal temperature persists throughout the season. This season is perfect for enjoying water glory. The stable, transparent, and dry weather attracts many trekkers.
Summer Season (June-April)
Summer is the worst time for trekking due to heavy rainfall. The rain clouds revolve around the skies, obstructing the view. The weather is hot and humid. It is hot before it rains, and afterwards, the clouds clear out, giving a chance to view the mountains. The temperature drops after rainfall.
Winter Season (December-February)
Winter is off-season for trekking. There is a lot of snowfall in this region. The temperature is extremely cold and freezing. The chilly, speedy wind of the Himalayas makes cold weather even colder. There is less crowd during this season, which provides a different experience.
Island Peak Climbing Difficulty
Island Peak Climbing is an easier trek than other peak climbs. But some routes require technical climbing. Our professional guide will help you, but it will be challenging for a beginner. So, the trekking experience is really important.
This trek takes you to an altitude of over 6000 m above sea level. That’s why there is a high chance of Altitude Sickness. Proper acclimatization and medication can help prevent this sickness. But you have to descend quickly if you’re serious.
The next challenge to this trekking is weather conditions. The weather conditions are unpredictable in such high altitudes and can worsen over time. So, you must be prepared for the worst.
You must walk off-roads for about 9 to 10 hours at maximum, which is tiring. The tough trails make it more challenging.
